Providing Troubled Families, NEETS and Early Years funding solutions for Herefordshire Council

Sentinel's Data Hub technology has been adopted by Herefordshire Council to support three key areas.

As well as underpinning the authority's Troubled Families Phase 2 programme, Sentinel is also enabling the council to track the progress of school leavers (NCCIS) and manage nursery education funding through the Early Education Entitlement (EEE).

The authority recognised how Sentinel could help it to successfully tackle the extensive scope and demanding requirements of the Troubled Families second phase.

Sentinel's data matching software helps to identify individuals and households that qualify for the programme while prioritising those who require the greatest support.

In addition, the software enables the council to meet the challenge of increased reporting to the DCLG, including the provision of data for fully evidence-based PBR claims.

Reporting to the Department for Education (DfE) on the progress of school leavers has also been made easier thanks to the Data Hub.

With the Hub in place, the authority is able to bring all of its data sources together to build a clear picture of what young people are doing as they leave school and highlight NEETS (Not in Education, Employment or Training) for further follow up and investigation.

Sentinel Director, Graham McCusker, said: “It's fantastic to see Herefordshire Council recognising the power of Sentinel's solutions and really embracing our Data Hub technology. Front-line teams are really benefiting from the live system."
