Supporting North Yorkshire’s aims for outstanding children’s care

Sentinel’s Single View of Child solution has been selected to play a key role in helping North Yorkshire County Council to deliver outstanding children’s social care.

Providing holistic ‘golden’ records containing enhanced and timely information, Sentinel’s system will help to improve the safeguarding of children and young people.

North Yorkshire’s Children’s and Young People’s Service (CYPS) has been designated as a Department for Education (DfE) Partner in Practice (PiP) - one of only 15 local authorities to be selected.

The PiP programme is driving innovation and spurring CYPS to become and remain outstanding for children’s social care.

Sentinel’s powerful single view solution, with its advanced functionality and flexibility, has been selected to support CYPS’s aims and work on the project is now underway.

Integrating data from multiple sources, Sentinel’s technology will provide staff with access to all relevant information at first contact.

Easily expanded to meet the authority’s evolving needs, the system will also make multi-agency working more efficient and effective through controlled and secure data sharing.

Sentinel director Graham McCusker said: “This is another prestigious project for Sentinel. As a Government Partner in Practice, North Yorkshire already has a strong reputation for using technology to support innovative, multi-agency working to improve outcomes for young people at risk.

“We’re delighted to be working with such a forward-thinking authority to deliver a system that will enable it to meet its current and future ambitions.”
