Welcoming Louis as Data Analyst Apprentice

We are really excited to have welcomed our new Data Analyst Apprentice Louis Walsh last week, read below to hear how he’s getting on so far:

How are you finding your first week?

I am very much enjoying my first week at Sentinel and I am excited to already be working on a meaningful project. Coming from a science degree it seems that there is much to learn on the technical side. Sometimes this can feel overwhelming but the team have all been very friendly and welcoming to any questions I’ve had.

What are you most looking forward to learning about in your position?

Currently, I am most looking forward to learning about different data driven practices and their application within the variety of sectors that Sentinel Partners is working with. Besides this, I am also looking forward to developing more programming skills and learning as much as I can from the team.

Why did you want to join Sentinel?

During university I gained experience analysing data, I found that I really enjoyed these aspects of my studies compared to practical lab work. For this reason I wanted to progress in this field. Seeing the various sectors that Sentinel works within such as local authorities and the private sector, joining the company seemed like a great opportunity to get a wide range of experience.
