Data Staging and Cleansing

We reshape the extracted data so it fits the structure of the new system.
This includes:

  • Mapping old data to new data models

Data Enrichment

We enhance the data where needed to improve completeness and accuracy.
This includes:

  • Filling in missing fields 

  • Matching and cleaning duplicates

  • Adding new values required by the new system

Data Transformation

Our platform automatically checks the transformed and enriched data against predefined rules.

  • Running validation as many times as needed until data meets standards

Seamless Migration

Once data passes validation, it is available to be published to the new target system(s). Any type of upload mechanism can be supported by the platform, such as via APIs, RPA processes, direct database updates or Web Messenger Services. It is also possible to create upload dependencies between data objects to ensure that data is published in the correct sequence based on previous upload results.

Sentinel Achieved 99.98% Success in Bromford Housing’s Data Migration

Bromford Housing, one of the largest housing associations in the UK, embarked on a digital transformation to unify its IT infrastructure and merge data with two other housing associations, from over 400 legacy systems into a central Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.

What we did:

Our team implemented a structured migration strategy, including data staging and cleansing, enrichment of missing fields, transformation to the required format, and seamless migration into the new ERP system.

Key actions included:

  • Integrated data from 400+ outdated and inconsistent systems.

  • Established the Sentinel Data Platform as a tactical data management solution during the year-long phased go-live, to manage temporary data flows and controls.

  • Standardised incomplete or incorrectly formatted legacy data.

  • Managed complexities of merging three organisations with different processes.

  • Added missing data fields required for the new ERP.
